Emmanuel André launched an appeal to Belgian citizens this Friday evening via the social network Twitter. In his message, he recalls basic health instructions to try to contain the extension of the coronavirus and recommends reducing contact between people “to the minimum”.

As the number of new coronavirus cases rose sharply this week with 220 new Covid-19 infections on average over the past week, the virologist posted this message:
“Advice to all: limit your social contact to a minimum, wear a mask, maintain a physical distance and wash your hands regularly. We left in a wave, and what you do today will only have an impact in a week“.
