Now she has appeared in front of the camera, and Prima TV viewers can look forward to seeing her in the new series Eliška and Damián. For Kafe.cz, Emma Smetana revealed why the new project won her over at first glance and what her fans can look forward to.
In the new series, which Prima TV described as fantasy, Emma Smetana plays the main role. She described Eliška as a good, hardworking girl who inherited the marmalade factory from her mother and is trying to save it all. In doing so, she faces many complications, love and time travel.
According to Emma Smetana, what can the audience look forward to the most? “They can look forward to the fact that Eliška is dating someone who is not a very good person and falls in love with someone who seems like a crazy person, but in reality he is a perfect man. So that’s a big romance. It will go from one romance to another, so I will be completely over-romanticized,” revealed the sympathetic artist with a smile.
When the offer to play in the series came, Emma did not have to think too much, according to her words. “Getting the main role in such a big project is such a challenge, which, if you get lucky once in a lifetime, it’s already a big deal. As part of the fact that I enjoy trying new things in life and being adventurous and risky, I try not to accept the weight of responsibility that comes with it. I didn’t study any acting, and I actually admire the creator for the courage to entrust me with such a thing and I will try to stand my ground,” explained the actress, who said it warmed her heart that the production was thinking of her when casting the actors.
“At the age of thirty-five, when I interpreted the series as a semi-fairy tale in the first phase, I was extremely flattered that I could still be such a modern princess at this age. I owe it to my daughters to appear in this role, we deal with it a lot at home that I will be a bit of a princess,” said the mother of two little girls – Lennon Marlene and Ariel, whom she named after the princess from the animated fairy tale The Little Mermaid.
Emma Smetana still loves cartoons from Walt Disney’s workshop, as she admitted. “I’m an absolute Disney child, after all, my second daughter’s name is Ariel. And I’m just Pocahontas, Ariel, Bell, Jasmine. I adored all these princesses. From this point of view, I am grateful that I have two daughters and that I can pass this on and that there is no tomboy in the household and the princess tradition continues. We change clothes, put on make-up, do our hair,” she concluded with a laugh.
