She is the little sister of Marcus & Martinus.

But Emma Gunnarsen, 15, has been an artist herself since she was eight years old – and is already a celebrity at home in Norway.

– I was very inspired by my brothers, she says.

Emma Gunnarsen15, stands by his brothers Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsens22, side as they bet on a win in Melodifestivalen for the second year in a row.

But even though she is several years younger than the twins, she is the head of the family, both she herself and the siblings’ parents confirm when Aftonbladet meets her for an interview.

– When it was early in the morning and Marcus, for example, sat in my place on the sofa, then I could paint. They were terrified of me when we were little!

How is it now?

– Now they are bigger, so they can do whatever they want, but I can roar away, she says and laughs.

Of course to follow in the footsteps of the brothers

It was obvious for Emma Gunnarsen to follow in the footsteps of her brothers, who made a splash in her native Norway already at the age of 10.

– I came out with my first song when I was eight years old, so I also started very early. I was very inspired by Marcus and Martinus. I watched them a lot during concerts and thought “I want to do that too”.

Today, she already has millions of listens on Spotify, several hundred thousand followers on social media and is a celebrity in Norway.

Was it obvious to do the same thing as Marcus and Martinus?

– Yes, I would say that. When they were younger and I was maybe four or five years old, I always stood in the middle between them and would join in training when they practiced their performances.

Have you been able to get help from them?

– Yes, because they are much older and have more experience, I can always call them and get help if, for example, I should be nervous about something. They know everything and all the secret tricks and such. So they help me a lot.

That’s what she does with school

At the same time as she has an artist career and is out on gigs all over Norway, Emma Gunnarsen goes to school.

– It’s a bit difficult, we travel as much as possible on the weekends or during holidays, and if I’m away when it’s school, I have to bring the schoolwork with me.

Was proposed to – has a boyfriend

Despite her young age, she has already had fans celebrate her when she is on stage.

– It was this summer. He stood there shouting and had a plastic ring with him, she says, laughing.

But Emma Gunnarsen already has a boyfriend.

– We have known each other for several years and were friends and were with each other a lot this summer, but we officially became together in December. He is a year older than me, she says.

Now she wants nothing more than to see her older brothers claim the Melodifestivalen victory.

– You just have to think positively. I am so very proud of Marcus and Martinus, she says.
