SHARJAH, 27th August, WAM, Every year, Emirati Women’s Day represents an opportunity to celebrate the qualitative achievements and contributions of Emirati women to economic, social and cultural development.
This year, this occasion comes under the slogan “We share for tomorrow” to emphasize the importance of all programs and initiatives for women strengthening their partnership in all sectors, especially those that in the past posed a challenge to women’s participation.
In this context, the Sharjah Business Women Council is keen to make the continuous increase in women’s participation in non-traditional sectors, which previously posed a challenge to their comprehensive contributions, a major axis in its programs and initiatives. During its career, it succeeded in making qualitative differences in the volume of women’s contributions in these sectors.
In more than 37 economic sectors, the “Sharjah Businesswomen Council” contributed to supporting its female members in the specializations chosen by Emirati women, and varied between the automotive and aerospace sectors, where Emirati women entrepreneurs have overcome technical challenges and exceeded the limits of creativity in leading these modern sectors.
Emirati women have excelled in the most vital sectors, such as the health sector, by running successful clinics and health centers, as well as making many tangible contributions in the construction, education and information technology sectors, in addition to e-commerce and mobile technology.
The growing partnership of women in all sectors has strengthened the system and the performance of the local economy, by establishing strategic partnerships in various economic sectors and focusing on developing their businesses by acquiring new skills and joining the pioneering programs organized by the Council, which contributed to the development of their expertise in other fields such as legal advice and logistical services. maintenance and manufacturing.
In terms of numbers, the number of council members to more than 2,000 members, 1,200 of whom are Emirati women, reflects the clear imprint left by the women of the council on the business world, as they run businesses and already stable companies in a way that enhances the vision of the UAE in empowering Emirati women and making them an inspiring model for Arab women who have achieved tangible successes in various vital sectors.
This great social change would not have taken place had it not been for the belief of the UAE government and its society in women’s energies, and had it not been for the great role of institutions that sponsor their journey and facilitate their access to success. Tomorrow’s post.
