Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi published, on Thursday, a picture of Egypt from space, which he described as “embracing the history and civilization of the Pharaohs for thousands of years.”
Al-Neyadi said, via Twitter: “Here is Egypt, which embraces the history of the Pharaohs and their civilization for thousands of years.. Can you see the pyramids?”
It is noteworthy that the Emirati astronaut became the first Arab to walk in space, outside the International Space Station, as part of the missions of Mission 69 on the station.
On March 2, Al-Neyadi embarked on an international mission to the International Space Station, with a duration of 6 months, and it is considered the longest mission for Arab astronauts in space, during which he conducted a number of scientific experiments.
Earlier, Al Neyadi shared a number of photos he took from space, of various landmarks and regions in Arab countries such as the UAE, Jordan and Kuwait.
