Emirates Post Group Launches Annual Logistics Innovations Robotics Competition in Partnership with Ministry of Education

In partnership with the Ministry of Education and a number of advanced technology companies

The group launches an annual robotics competition aimed at encouraging students to explore the logistics sector and enhance their technical skills

The Emirates Post Group, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and a number of technical partners, invites innovative college and university students interested in the field of robotics to participate in the “Logistics Innovations” competition. The competition is the first annual robotics educational program launched by the group, which aims to bridge the gap between the academic and logistical sectors.

The Ministry of Education stressed the importance of the competition in enriching students’ technical skills, calling on students who have skills in programming and robotics to participate in this innovative program, by registering via the dedicated link. Three teams, consisting of two to four students each, with the participation of at least one Emirati student, will be selected to build a robot as a solution to the issue raised in the competition. The group will also provide the necessary financing of 5,000 dirhams to purchase the necessary tools and enable teams to build their innovative ideas.

The competition is accompanied by an educational program that will be held from September to November. Participating students will be invited to visit the facilities of the Emirates Post Group, including the sorting center and retail branches, as well as the headquarters of the participating technology companies, to get acquainted with the logistics services sector and potential technological developments that can be adopted and integrated.

This collaboration aims to develop talent and advance progress in the logistics sector. The “Logistics Innovations” program is also a door to open various horizons and create new opportunities for students involved in the logistics services sector, with the support of the group’s technical partners, including SkyGo, Bayanat, and Strata Manufacturing.

The “Logistics Innovations” program contributes to empowering young people and refining their skills. Their tremendous efforts will be commended and supported by offering cash prizes, shields and certificates of appreciation.

University and college students wishing to participate in the “Logistics Innovations” competition can register via the link: https://forms.office.com/r/gn62f2gxzr. The last date to register for the competition is August 28, 2023.
