Al-Amimi opened the session by noting that during his visit to Mexico with the delegation of the Emirate of Sharjah and his direct encounter with the Mexican people, he deepened his knowledge of the kindness and kindness of this people, and discovered how much they are similar in many of their characteristics to Arab peoples.
In his speech on the history of Arabic dictionaries, Al-Amimi said that the science of lexicography appeared early in Arab culture and began in the 8th century AD and was ahead of various sciences. Al-Amimi explained that the number of Spanish words whose origins date back to the Arabic language is 4 thousand words, noting that this number of words reveals multiple forms of influence of the Arabic language on Spanish, as there is an impact on the phonetic level, such as the appearance of the letter Kha in the Spanish language, and there is an impact that appears on the lexical level and appears in words that have been transmitted orally and not in writing, in addition to the morphological influence and the existing influence in the invented language of the ‘man, as the one who contrives to indicate a sound or a movement and is related to these two movements, such as the word knock or knock in Arabic.
For his part, Moises Guardinho García underlined the dimension of the presence of the Arabic language in Spanish, emphasizing that this presence, despite its strength in revealing the historical and cultural relationship between Hispanophones and Arabs, faces many challenges today, the most important of which is embodies the image of Arabs among Mexicans, which it presents imprecisely and is not clear to some.
He stressed that Mexicans need lively and direct communication with the Arab world, such as the interaction provided by the Emirate of Sharjah at the Guadalajara International Book Fair, emphasizing that dialogue and communication with Arab intellectuals, writers and writers they would bridge the gap in knowledge of the essence and originality of Arab culture and its present.
Regarding the opportunities to learn the Arabic language in Mexico, Garcia indicated that they are few and almost absent and need more support and attention to be an open door for Mexicans to the Arab world, stopping at the diversity of dialects of the Arabic language and what to represent as an obstacle for non-Arab speakers. Emphasizing that talking about the difference in dialects leads us to talk about the reality of the Arabic language today in the light of globalization and the entry of foreign words into it.
