DUBAI, 14th February, 2020 (WAM) — Her Excellency Jessica Alupo, Vice President of Uganda, confirmed that the World Government Summit is an international platform and arena for leaders to discuss the most important challenges the world is suffering from, especially after the repercussions of the pandemic crisis, the beginning of recovery and an attempt to return to life again and revitalize the economies of countries, through joint bilateral action. Encouraging industry and trade and providing new job opportunities.
Her Excellency made statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of her participation in the World Government Summit in Dubai, on the discussion sessions included in the World Government Summit hosted by the United Arab Emirates, including the “Women in Government Forum”, which reviewed the inspiring models of women leaders in a number of Countries of the world, considering women’s participation in decision-making as essential, as women around the world have proven that they can play all roles and responsibilities on an equal basis with men.
She called on the international community to share the UAE’s initiatives in a responsible manner to preserve the environment and promote concepts of sustainability, expressing confidence in the UAE government in its proper management of the COP28 conference in order to reach innovative solutions to live in a green environment and face the challenges of climate change.
The “Women in Government” forum was part of the activities of the second day of the World Government Summit in Dubai. It hosted a number of sessions, including “Ready to Lead…Shaping the Future Agenda”, “Influential Leadership…from Crowdfunding to Economic Transformation”, and “Women in Government”. … Creating the Future”, “The Exceptional Capabilities of Women in Leadership Positions” and “One Land … Women and Sustainability Pioneering”.
