ABU DHABI, 18th February, 2020 (WAM) — His Excellency Matar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, affirmed that the exceptional character associated with the description of the sixteenth session of “IDEX” and the seventh session of “NAVDEX” would not have been possible without the strenuous efforts it provided and is still providing. The wise leadership of the UAE and the various authorities concerned with organizing this major defense event, which attracts the world’s attention and befits the country’s position at the international level.
His Excellency said – in a speech through “Al-Jundi” magazine on the occasion of the International Defense Exhibition and Conference “IDEX 2023” and the Maritime Defense Exhibition “NAVDEX 2023” – that this event opens up promising horizons for the development of national defense industries that have proven their worth and attractiveness during the past years, and left a distinctive imprint on the hands of UAE in the world of defense industries.

// Interested, specialists and decision-makers in the defense sector from different countries of the world are eagerly awaiting the launch of the International Defense Exhibition IDEX and the Naval Defense Exhibition NAVDEX 2023 and the accompanying defense conference during the period from 20 to 24 February in Abu Dhabi, amid expectations that the two exhibitions will achieve unprecedented levels of growth. Precedented at all levels, given the previous courses.
The exceptional character associated with the description of the sixteenth session of IDEX, and the seventh session of NAVDEX, would not have been possible without the strenuous efforts made and still being made by the wise leadership of the UAE and the various parties concerned with organizing this major defense event that attracts the world’s attention and befits the country’s position at the international level.
The two exhibitions, which are held this year under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, may God protect him, constitute a large international stage that enables local and international defense companies to display the latest developments in advanced defense and security technologies.
These two exhibitions, which are held over a period of 5 days, organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company “ADNEC” and in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, allow diversifying the sources of income for the country in general and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in particular, as the defense industries sector is one of the most important sectors that focus on the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision. 2030.
This event has opened up promising prospects for the development of national defense industries, which have proven their worth and attractiveness over the past years, and left a distinctive imprint on Emirati arms in the world of defense industries.
The current data confirms that this international event promises to be significantly different from the previous sessions, as it will not only be a platform for displaying and exploring opportunities and seizing them, but will also constitute a large international forum that welcomes decision-makers, experts, military personnel and thought leaders, from all over the world, to attend many conferences, seminars and sessions. Intellectual events that will be held on the sidelines of IDEX and NAVDEX activities to discuss the most important issues and topics related to military, defense and technological affairs.
