– His Highness meets founders of emerging Emirati companies in the space sector.
ABU DHABI, December 6, WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, State President, ‘may God protect him’ said UAE is continuing to consolidate its position in space sector and our national competencies they are capable to reach the top ranks in this sector, as it is one of the vital sector to achieve sustainable development, due to the real economic and scientific opportunities it possesses.
This occurred today during His Highness’ reception at the Al-Bahr Palace – in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai – the leaders of international space agencies participating in the ‘Abu Space Dialogue Dhabi” , which concluded its activities today.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said, “The UAE will continue to support the space sector and train national cadres at the highest level to enhance its competitiveness in the sector, in cooperation with partners around the world, for the benefit of all of humanity.”
His Highness added, “We have faith in the Emirati people and our bet on them is successful, as they possess the will and ambition in the field of space exploration and constructive contribution with the peoples of the world to secure a better future.” for future generations”.
His Highness received Christian Holly Hansen, Director General of the Norwegian Space Agency (NOSA), Ricardo Conde, President of the Portuguese Space Agency, Dr. Hiroshi Yamakawa, President of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Serdar Hussein Yıldırım, Director of the Turkish Space Agency, and Dr. Robin Jess, Director of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research, Dr. Sang-ryol Lee, President of the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, and Hervé Dery, President and CEO of Thales Elena Space.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also received the founders of emerging Emirati companies in the space and advanced technology sector, and His Highness urged everyone to make greater efforts to upgrade our space sector and continue the successful path that was achieved in a record time, in order to strengthen the UAE’s position and its international presence in this ambitious field.
