DOHA, November 29, WAM / Jalal Al-Qadri, head coach of the Tunisian national soccer team, said the confrontation awaiting his team tomorrow, Wednesday, against his French counterpart, the world champion, in the last round of matches of the group stage at the 2022 World Cup, it is very difficult, but football does not know the impossible.
Al-Qadri confirmed, in a press conference for his team today, that he had hoped his side would be in a better position in Group D before facing France, but reality says the team only scored one point from a goalless draw with Denmark and then a one-goal defeat against Australia, who have no alternative but to win, while France retain their chance of qualifying.
He stressed that despite the difficulty of the task, the Tunisian national team will play the match with great spirit in pursuit of the continuation of the World Cup. “We felt proud of the great support of the masses who came to support us, and we will try to repay them,” she said.
He clarified that he is working to enter the confrontation with France with a balanced plan between defense and attack, hoping to win. He added: “We can’t wait to make the fans happy, like we did against Denmark. We haven’t met France much before, maybe only 3 previous matches, but tomorrow’s game will definitely be decisive.”
He said what worries him most is his team’s inability to create chances and his failure to score in their first two World Cup matches. He has suggested making changes to his squad tomorrow, but they would be minimal.
