ABU DHABI, 27th January / WAM / The Federal Traffic Council, in its meeting chaired by Brigadier General Eng. Hussain Al Harthy, Chairman of the Council and in the presence of all members, discussed a number of development projects and proposals that would contribute to improving and enhancing the traffic environment on the roads. It also approved the site and activities for the celebration of the Gulf Traffic Week. for the year 2023.
In its first meeting in 2023, which was held in Dubai, the council discussed a number of important traffic issues, including the study and analysis of the speed margin through extensive discussion with the concerned authorities and proposals, including the addition of a number of traffic legal texts in order to enhance procedures and prevention on the roads.
The visitor services package for the United Arab Emirates was also discussed, which is among the proactive services that the concerned authorities are keen to provide in order to enhance the UAE’s advanced position on the international competitiveness ladder. Issues related to the unification of violations procedures in the country and strategic indicators within the competence of the Council’s work were also discussed.
The Council approved the plan to celebrate the Gulf Traffic Week under the slogan “Your Life is a Trust”, which is expected to be held in the Global Village in Dubai to expand community participation in the events and activities of this week, which promotes awareness and prevention of traffic accidents.
