CAIRO, 8th February, 2020 (WAM) — The Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council in the Arab Parliament participated in the meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the Fifth Conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments, which was held today, Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in Cairo.
His Excellency Ahmed Hamad Bushhab, a member of the Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council in the Arab Parliament and the participants in the meeting, chaired by the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, discussed the draft document of the fifth conference, which will be held under the slogan “Parliamentary vision to enhance food security” on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Nations. Arabia in Cairo.
The document includes a guiding parliamentary vision on enhancing food security, and it will be submitted to the fifth session of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit to be held in Mauritania this year, with the aim of being guided by it during the preparation of the draft Arab strategy for food security, according to which a decision was issued by the thirty-first Arab Presidents’ Summit, which was held in Algeria.
