SHARJAH, January 21 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, witnessed today, Saturday, the graduation ceremony of the “Silver Jubilee batch” of bachelor’s degrees at the University of Sharjah, for the summer semester 2021-2022 and the fall semester 2022- 2023 from the various faculties of the university, in the University City Hall.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi delivered a speech in which he congratulated the graduates, parents and the university family on their graduation, wishing the graduates success and success in their practical life.
His Highness said, “On Thursday, I was honored by the graduation of a new group of students from the University of Sharjah, and I was honored when I learned that the number of graduates today is twice the number of students. However, I realize that the lesson is not your quantity, but rather the great achievement that was achieved through stories of struggle, determination to reach, and relentless pursuit.” to achieve the goal.”
His Highness reviewed the university’s achievements and its position that the graduates are proud of, saying, “The University of Sharjah has assumed a prestigious scientific position, and has achieved a large number of important achievements and numbers during the past twenty-five years. A world-class university according to the Times Ranking of World Universities for the year 2023. These facts coincide with your graduation, to raise the slogan “We are the Silver Jubilee class and we are proud.”
In his speech, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi addressed the great role of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the joy of His Highness and parents at the completion of the great graduation. Who stood with this university since its foundation, the owner of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, who is proud of his daughters, armed with science and knowledge, looking forward to a prosperous future for them and their countries.
At the end of his speech, His Highness gave advice to female graduates on their upcoming work trip, saying, “I invite each one of you to be keen to continue receiving science and knowledge, and to develop her skills in various fields. It is a stage of giving, so the reward for giving is the best reward.”
The ceremony began with the national anthem, and verses from the Holy Qur’an were recited after it. After that, Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Director of the University of Sharjah, gave a speech in which he expressed his thanks, appreciation and congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, for his highness’s graduation of this group of university students. He also congratulated the graduates. And parents, guardians and university professors.
In his speech, the University Chancellor addressed the great efforts and great interest of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in establishing and building the University of Sharjah, which contributed to its high scientific progress, which all graduates of the university are proud of.
He pointed to the great efforts made by the university to qualify its students in all knowledge and sciences, and to take good care of them and support them with knowledge and experiences, which qualifies them for an ambitious practical future, in addition to the possibility of continuing their postgraduate studies.
Graduate Asmaa Al Zarouni gave a speech on behalf of her fellow graduates, in which she expressed her thanks and gratitude to His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, for the generous patronage of His Highness, who worked, presented, established and built edifices of knowledge for his sons and daughters to draw from science and knowledge.
She also extended her thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for sponsoring the scientific march of the university, and Karim for honoring the ceremony and honoring the graduates.
She and her colleagues thanked the university family and parents for their great support until graduation, expressing their pride in graduating from the University of Sharjah, pointing to the days of study full of hard work and diligence.
She concluded her speech by giving a number of advice to her female colleagues to carry the responsibility of working for the homeland with diligence, and to communicate with the university for more knowledge and knowledge.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi presented the graduates with their certificates, congratulating them and wishing them success.
In a humanitarian gesture, His Highness honored the family of the late student Sarah Saeed Al Zaabi, who completed her studies at the university and moved to God’s mercy before attending graduation. Her father received a graduation certificate.
At the end of the graduation ceremony, His Highness, the President of the University, shook hands and congratulated the student, Farah Marwan Al-Saadi, who graduated with first honors and a total of 4/4 from the accounting major, advising her and all outstanding students to continue their postgraduate studies and pursue their practical career. His Highness presented a souvenir to the student and kindly took a souvenir photo with the student and her family.
The number of graduates reached 802 students from the faculties of: Business Administration, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Computing and Informatics, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Science, Law, Fine Arts and Design, and Engineering.
The graduation ceremony was attended by His Highness, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Head of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Head of the Department of Finance. Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Ali bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Head of the Umm Al Quwain Municipality Department, a number of sheikhs and senior officials from the heads of government departments, members of the Board of Trustees of the University of Sharjah, members of the administrative and teaching staff, and a group of graduates’ families.
