SHARJAH, December 21st / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, today led the establishment of a specialized mental illness treatment center in Sharjah.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah said this center would function as a semi-detention facility for the mentally ill, to treat a small number of them, give them the necessary doses of sedation and return them safely to their families.
His Highness stressed that one of the most important tasks of this center is the complete psychological and physical supervision of patients.
