His Excellency Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, President of the Prize’s Board of Trustees, said that a series of introductory seminars and workshops for the Prize will be held in several Arab countries during October, November and December of this year, with the goal of introducing the objectives and importance of this award, which returns in a new form after expanding its institutional and individual categories offered for participation in 17 different categories.
For his part, the President of the Civil Service Bureau in Jordan, Sameh Al-Nasser, stressed the importance and position of the Sharjah Prize in public finance among the various awards for excellence in the Arab world, and his great contributions since its launch in 2016 through its institutional categories in advancing public money management methods, methodologies and applications in Arab countries, in line with international best practices in the field of public finance planning and management.
The Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization, Dr. Nasser Al-Qahtani, said the award aims to enable and strengthen financial performance pathways in Arab countries to form a roadmap for excellence by adopting its standards at institutional and individual level.
The secretary general of the award, Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, said that this award is the first of its kind in the Arab world and is concerned with enabling the financial sector to be a sustainable and successful lever for development in the Arab world. countries through continuous measurement and evaluation of the commitment to financial sector standards of excellence at the level of government institutions in Arab countries Enriching the level of competition between them to achieve the optimum level of performance and financial management practices and experiences successful in this field.
He noted that the award represents a qualitative addition to the translation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, on the importance of taking initiatives aimed at developing the capacity of institutions and of individuals and qualify them to play a vital and vital role in supporting the economy and investing money to serve people and sustain a life of dignity for them.
