SHARJAH, November 25th, WAM/ The Sharjah Charity Association and Burjeel Specialist Hospital have signed an agreement to open the association’s charity medical centre, at its headquarters in Hayawah suburb of Khorfakkan. The association was represented by Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, while Burjeel Hospital was represented by Bruno D’Souza, Regional Director of Dubai and Northern Emirates Hospital, in the presence of Mohammed Rashid bin Bayat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, Dr. Yaqoub Al Naqbi, Member of the Board of Directors, and Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of the Association. The agreement provided for the opening of the medical center and its operating from the hospital providing medical staff for the centre’s wards.
After the completion of the signing of the agreement, Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Charity Association, inaugurated the Charitable Medical Center and cut the ribbon to celebrate the opening of the center, in the presence of a large number of heads and department heads of the eastern region, branch heads and department heads of the association, and a group of residents and residents of the eastern region.
Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi and the public visited the center and got acquainted with its departments. The participants listened to an explanation about the objectives and importance of the center and the departments it comprises, including a dental clinic and another of general medicine, as well as a laboratory for medical examinations and a pharmacy for dispensing medicines to patients.
Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi extended his heartfelt thanks to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, for his support of the charity work process and his constant desire to call and direct to focus on projects that raise the dignity of beneficiaries, support people and allow them to rely on themselves.
He also congratulated the population of the eastern region and neighboring areas on the occasion of the opening of the association’s medical center, through which it seeks to provide health and curative assistance to members of the association’s lists according to high levels of quality, emphasizing that it has been agreed with Burjeel Hospital to provide the medical staff of doctors and nursing teams, which embodies our concern for the beneficiaries to obtain high quality care, starting from undergoing a medical examination, passing through the laboratory, and dispensing medicines from the centre’s pharmacy, all of which are free services for patients registered in the association’s registry office. You noted that the pharmacy contains various medicines which have been supplied with the support of Julphar Pharmaceutical Company, Green Pharmacy and Al-Hayat Drug Depot, in coordination with Emirates Health Services Corporation, and we are eager to supply medicines for medical conditions to ensure that the beneficiaries are able to get treatment in light of the fact that some drugs are priced they cannot afford.
He added: The first step was the opening of the center, and we have been able, with the support of benefactors, to successfully complete this task, but in the coming period we will try to work on expanding the center to include several other departments and to become an integrated building that serves all pathological cases, and from this point of view we ask those with white hands to support us in achieving this The noble goal is to alleviate the burdens of many, cure the pain of patients and be a reason for their care and service to their communities, where health is the first priority and the basis for creating a productive society.
He underlined that the center receives patients 6 days out of 7 for two working hours, morning and evening, and is considered the second medical center of the association after the dialysis center located in Sharjah. Towards the transformation of the culture of charity into a tool of human empowerment and influencing the development of society, extending its sincere thanks to Burjeel Hospital for this fruitful cooperation in the operation and management of this medical center. He also appreciated the support of the benefactors and their contribution in order to achieve the initiatives and objectives of the association, emphasizing that the reward for the contribution to these endowment projects is characterized by continuity, and therefore we invite our donors and white hands to take advantage of this work to lay a new brick in the expansion of the centre.
