Sharjah, 10 November / WAM / The second edition of the Kalba Beach Games will open tomorrow, with the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Governor of Sharjah, and in the presence of Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Il Head of the Sovereign’s Office in Khor Fakkan and Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Sovereign’s Office in Kalba and His Excellency Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, President of the Sharjah Sports Council, and the total prize pool for the tournament is half a million dirhams.
The party starts at 7:30 pm on the city beach, specially prepared to host the tournament and its events, which include 7 tournaments of football, basketball, volleyball, rowing, badminton, triathlon and self-defense (Taekwondo, Jujisto, Karate, Judo, wrestling) and its competitions will continue until November 18th.
The opening ceremony includes fun moments to entertain the public by land, sea and air, it officially begins with the arrival of the sponsor of the ceremony and the execution of the national anthem with the raising of the flag, then some festive cavalry performances will be held accompanied from police music and school students A special film about the first edition of the session, then honoring the delegation of the Arab Federation for Sports Culture, honoring the sponsor of the ceremony, announcing the official opening of the session, and the audience was amused with the fireworks and the tournament competitions were launched with the first matches of the football championship.
