Rome, February 25 / WAM / Napoli strengthened its lead in the Italian Football League, by defeating Empoli 2-0 today, Saturday, in the opening matches of the 24th round of the competition.
Napoli continued its successive victories in the competition, raising its score in the lead to 65 points, after achieving the eighth consecutive victory in the competition, and Empoli’s balance froze at 28 points, after failing to win the fifth consecutive match in the competition.
Napoli won the match in the first half with two goals scored by Albanian Adrian Asmali, Empoli defender, by mistake, in his own goal in the 17th minute, and Nigerian Victor Osimhen in the 28th minute.
The 67th minute of the match witnessed the dismissal of Napoli player Mario Roy, but the team overcame the numerical shortage and maintained its victory.
