Mostafa El-Feki: Sheikh Zayed was the one who asked about Egypt and sympathized with it, and we still remember the positions of that great man with Egypt.
Cairo, October 27, WAM / Egyptian political thinker, Dr. Mustafa El-Feki, said the UAE was Egypt’s biggest supporter, noting that in the 1980s and 1990s it had witnessed force of the relationship between the leaders of the two sister countries.
This took place during the “Emirates in Egyptian Memory” session, as part of the activities of the second day of the celebration of 50 years of Emirati-Egypt relations, organized by the governments of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates in the Arab Republic of Egypt, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him” and His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the period from 26 to 28 October, with the slogan “Egypt and the United Arab Emirates are one heart”.
Al-Fiqi completed his testimony: “The statue of Sheikh Zayed, located at the entrance to Sheikh Zayed’s neighborhood in Egypt, was erected by the people with personal efforts without government interference, and this reflects the love of the people for the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul”, as well as His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who studied at the College of Agriculture , adding that Sheikh Zayed was the one who asked about Egypt and sympathized with it. We still remember the positions of that great man with Egypt.
Al-Fiqi continued: “I still remember aspects of the details of some of the meetings that brought together the late Egyptian president Mohamed Hosni Mubarak with the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.”
At the end of Al-Fiqi’s speech, he asked for the exchange of visits between young people from the Emirates and Egyptians, saying: “I always continue to visit the United Arab Emirates, meet Emirati friends and bring back memories”.
Session director, journalist and writer Abdul Latif Al-Manawi, began by saying: “If there is a witness to relations between Egypt and the UAE, it is my professor, Mustafa Al-Fiqi, who is a witness to politics. relationships and an analyst of those relationships “.
At the end of the session, Al-Manawi pointed out that there was a page titled “The Emirates love Egypt” launched by a number of Emirati youth, to express the love of the Emirati people for the Egyptians, who described as “the summit of diplomacy between the two peoples”.
The events, which take place under the slogan “Egypt and the United Arab Emirates are one heart”, are part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries, in the presence of personalities diplomats and ministers of the Emirate and Egyptian side and a group of prominent personalities in the fields of culture, media and economy of the two countries, while the events conclude with an artistic ceremony, which takes place in the area of the historic pyramids , and is enlivened by the Emirati artist Hussein Al Jasmi and the Egyptian artist Amr Diab.
