Nur-Sultan, September 18 / WAM / Sheikh Nurizbay Haji Taganuli Utbenov, Grand Mufti of the Republic of Kazakhstan, presented His Eminence the Grand Imam, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif , President of the Council of Muslim Elders, the “Traditional Young Man”, at the headquarters of the Great Mosque in Kazakhstan, in the presence of over 30 thousand Muslims from Kazakhstan, and Islamic delegations participating in the Conference of Religious Leaders appreciating his visit to Kazakhstan from 12 to September 16.
And the Mufti of Kazakhstan put the uniform of “young people” on the shoulder of the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, expressing the great appreciation of the Kazakh people for the visit of the Great Imam and their happiness for it and their enthusiasm to be in this great mosque to hear his speech.
Interestingly, giving the “Shaban” costume is an ancient custom for the Kazakh people, and it is given to people with strong influence and prestige and evidence of the highest levels of respect and appreciation among the Kazakhs. Kazakh national culture and customs as the people’s spiritual wealth.
