ABU DHABI, October 7 / WAM / Specialized experts confirmed that space has become a competitive arena, attracting the attention of many countries to improve their national security and military capabilities, which has opened the door to space investments and created many challenges that should be paid attention to, for a safe world with security and stability.
In a symposium, organized by the Trends Center for Research and Remote Consultations, entitled: “Investment in Space: The Limits of Reality and Future Prospects”, in conjunction with the “World Space Week”, they indicated the need for cooperation, construction companies , and put in place legislation that regulates the process of investing in space, in order to achieve results for the benefit of humanity and achieve the desired results.
The seminar was attended by Christopher Hersey, co-founder and chair of the board of directors, Space Court Foundation (SCF) USA, and Ian A. Christensen is director of private sector programs for the Safer World Foundation (SWF). The meeting was moderated by Abdul Rahman Saeed Al Junaibi, Senior Specialist in Conference Management and Strategic Communication, who explained in a welcome speech that the space field has become an essential area of discussion in international relations as a place for innovation and safety. that the symposium deals with the future of space exploration as well as the limitations and challenges that come with it.
The symposium began with a talk by Christopher Hersey on the topic of the current interest in space, in which he indicated that there are many investment opportunities in large space companies, which are looking for greater investments to support capacity or assets or designate the future technological investments.
On the other hand, Ian A. Christensen on the commercial sector in space investment, explaining the repercussions of space investment on development, pointing out that the value of space investment is currently about $ 386 billion and expects that the space investments in the next decade reach about $ 400 billion, explaining that 6800 satellites are currently swimming in space, which demonstrates the importance of this field in various fields, both in communications and in the climate.
