Emirates News Agency – Hamdan bin Zayed: 51st Union Day celebration of journey full of achievements

ABU DHABI, 1st December, 2019 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, said that Union Day, which we celebrate on 2 December every year, represents a important opportunity through which we remember that day, which 51 years ago formed a milestone in the history of the country and the people was the solid foundation for the establishment of the UAE, led by the late founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul in peace”, and his founding brothers with a wise vision that allowed them to establish a modern state that possesses all the elements of civilization and Renaissance development.

His Highness said – in a speech addressed to the “National Shield” magazine on the occasion of the 51st Union Day – that the achievements of the State during the construction and development process included all areas of life, and today we see the results through the high status that the state has been able to achieve at the Arab and international level.

His Highness said the federal march is gaining strength under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, State President, “may God protect him” and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and their brothers, Their Highnesses, members of the Supreme Council of Rulers of the Emirates.

His Highness added that the UAE’s ambition knows no bounds and reaches from land to space through an innovative and integrated government strategy to anticipate the future of the country’s vital sectors on its unique journey to the UAE Centenary 2071 His Highness stressed that Union Day represents an important occasion to celebrate the goals that the country has achieved along its path: construction and development in various economic, social, cultural and scientific fields. our wise leadership and its ambition to build on these achievements.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the UAE was proceeding in strengthening the approach it has taken to mobilize support and advocacy for global humanitarian principles through its development initiatives and its continued support to victims of conflicts and disasters all over the world. weak and disadvantaged everywhere, and support the afflicted, and provide them with material and moral support without favors or preferences, but consider it rather part of your duty to the world in which they live.

His Highness underlined the global appreciation enjoyed by countries, peoples and humanitarian organizations in light of recent international reports which showed the extent of the UAE’s efforts in the humanitarian and development fields and placed them in forefront of benevolent forces as it is the largest donor of humanitarian and development aid relative to its national income in the world.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the end of his speech, congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, State President, “may God protect him” and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, members of the Supreme Council of the Union, the rulers of the Emirates, the Crown Princes, and to the people of the Emirates and whoever resides on his land.
