Emirates News Agency – ‘Fujairah Youth’ organizes workshop on role of youth in supporting international sports leagues and events

FUJAIRAH, November 14, WAM/ The Supreme Organizing Committee of the World Chess Championship, held under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, hosted a youth club titled ‘The Role of Youth in Supporting International Sports Tournaments and Events” organized by the Fujairah Youth Council of the Federal Youth Authority.

The seminar, which was held at the Novotel Fujairah Hotel, was attended by His Excellency Nasser Al Yamahi, Member of the Federal National Council, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al Barakat, Chairman of the Tournament Organizing Committee, Director of the Fujairah Chess Club, some members of the Organizing Committee, the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chess Club and an audience of young chess enthusiasts. .

His Excellency Nasser Al-Yamahi said that the role of young people has been and still is influential in the successes achieved while organizing various sporting and non-sporting rallies in the country due to their great willingness to represent the UAE in the best way and to be part of the targeted organizational success. .

In turn, His Excellency Dr Abdullah Ali Al Barakat said that the UAE youth have excelled in all sectors and aspects and have demonstrated their ability to excel wherever they are, especially with the teams of volunteers and those interested in volunteering in the sports field, indicating that UAE youth enjoy great support from the wise leadership of the state due to their ability to compete international experiences and participation in international forums in a distinctive way.

He explained that Fujairah Chess and Culture Club was interested in engaging the youth of the country in the world championship with the aim of equipping them with leadership and management skills and the need to highlight their national identity and authentic values ​​in such global events.

The youth circle, moderated by Jassim Haikal Al Balushi, President of Fujairah Youth Council, discussed the aspirations of the youth to develop many ideas and mechanisms that promote volunteering and find practical solutions, innovative ideas and effective policies that support voluntary participation in international sports tournaments hosted by the country.
