ABU DHABI, September 13 / WAM / The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office (Invest in Sharjah) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation and build capacity.
The two sides agreed to work together to position the UAE as an ideal destination for trade and investment and to highlight the country’s stable and secure investment environment, investor-friendly systems and advanced financing infrastructure. business.
The Memorandum of Understanding defines a framework for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to facilitate trade and investment meetings through its diplomatic missions abroad, participate in the exchange of information and develop the diplomatic corps’ capabilities in the field of investment and commercial promotion.
In this regard, His Excellency Dr. Abdel Nasser Al Shaali, Undersecretary for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, stated: “The memorandum of understanding signed with the Office for Foreign Direct Investments Sharjah is the first among many memoranda of understanding that aim to increase cooperation to promote the UAE as a destination. An ideal investment through the exchange of experiences with investment promotion agencies to hone the skills of Emirati diplomats.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh, Executive Director of the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office “Invest in Sharjah” welcomed the initiative and stated: the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate the flow of global investments that will drive the UAE’s economic diversification agenda. “.
He added that Sharjah abounds with opportunities, especially in future-oriented sectors such as green technology, mobility, innovation and advanced manufacturing.
He explained that this memorandum, which focuses on investing and building the investment capabilities of diplomats, is preparing to shape a comprehensive and strong future for business and investment in the UAE.
The Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), the specialized agency for the promotion of investments in Sharjah, is committed to directing foreign investors to the vast opportunities and possibilities offered by the emirate.
It also facilitates investment transactions by promoting close cooperation between the public and private sectors, providing opportunities for foreign investors while simplifying global investment solutions.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding comes when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation developed the “Invest in UAE” website to become a focal point among state-level investment promotion agencies, chambers of commerce, diplomatic missions. overseas and foreign investors with the aim of attracting further investments in strategic and economic sectors that are growing in the United Arab Emirates.
