ABU DHABI, 10th December, 2020 (WAM) — In a tweet posted to its social media accounts today, the State Prosecutor indicated that it has launched an investigation with officials of a private sector company for posting an ad for unskilled personnel jobs for state citizens, in violation of job location regulations and media content standards, as the announcement included dramatic propaganda that would incite public opinion.

The FBI had been monitoring a private sector company’s announcement on social media for jobs for nationals of the country, which aroused widespread controversy due to the content of the announcement, contrary to the provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 279 of 2022 on the mechanisms for monitoring the percentage of emiratisation in the private sector.

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office for Rumor and Cybercrime Operations has launched an investigation with the company’s CEO into the allegations attributed to him, the Attorney General has ordered the investigations to be brought to a rapid conclusion and has called on affected private sector companies to investigate compliance with the controls and directives included in the decision to increase the percentage of citizens working in the private sector, in order to activate its role as a key partner in the development of the labor market and economic development.
