DUBAI, 12 October / WAM / The Dubai Police General Command is eager to improve the safety and security system in the community in the field and electronically, through the application of the latest innovations that contain artificial intelligence technology and intelligent technologies, which facilitate speed to respond to emergency reports and access their locations easily and conveniently and work to make community members happy at the Emirate of Dubai level.
The Dubai Police General Command, through its platform at the GITEX International Technology Exhibition 2022, presented the latest technologies that contain artificial intelligence technology and are used in field work, including the “dron box” system, which is a platform for the launch of automated drones, which aims to reduce the response time rate for situations of extreme emergency, as well as to contribute to the detection of crimes.
The Dubai Police is one of the first police authorities in the world to implement the “drone box” system, as it responds to criminal and traffic reports through the drone box stations, where the drone can move directly to the event location by controlling it from the command and control room, is one of the future projects where artificial intelligence will be introduced and can be used in many events and activities.
In the field of safety enhancement system, the Dubai Police General Command presented the “Ghiath” smart patrols, which are considered to be one of the most advanced security vehicles in the world.
The “Ghayath” patrols include intelligent and advanced systems, including a facial recognition system, a traffic accident system, a required vehicle tracking system, as well as various screens, while all the systems used provide the officer in charge with adequate information. on the conditions of the roads, the necessary vehicles and the wanted people.
Regarding the enhancement of the electronic security system, the Dubai police presented to GITEX the services of the “ecrime” platform, which is a platform that provides services related to receiving reports and complaints of Internet-related crimes, which include: electronic extortion, hacking, financial fraud offenses for illegal transfers and uses of the trust card.
The user of the platform can, in simple steps, submit the complaint by entering the website www.ecrime.ae, then determine if the complaint is related to computer crimes, fill in the data, then confirm the contact number via a text message received from the complainant. on his mobile phone, and finally write the complaint and identify the accused.
Also on the electronic side, the Dubai Police General Command provides the services of the Smart Police Station (SPS), which provides all police services to customers in an intelligent way and without any human intervention, 24 hours a day, through which the customer can obtain criminal and trafficking services, certificates, permits and community services and provided in accordance with best international law enforcement standards and practices.
Dubai Police also provides its criminal and traffic services and obtains certificates and permits through its smart application, which has been developed using the latest languages of telephone programming techniques and artificial intelligence, available in 7 approved languages: ( Arabic, English, Russian, German, Chinese, French, Spanish).
