Emirates News Agency – Dubai Maritime Platform concludes its participation in the Dubai International Boat Show 2023

DUBAI, 5th March, 2020 (WAM) — The Dubai Maritime Authority of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation concluded its participation in the Dubai International Boat Show 2023, the international exhibition specialized in the maritime sector, which was recently hosted by the waterfront “Dubai Harbor” from 1 to 5 March, amidst the welcome and response of more than 20,000 visitors to view and learn about the services provided and the latest innovations offered in the maritime sector.

During the opening of the exhibition, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Council, was briefed on the portfolio of initiatives and technologies offered by the Dubai Maritime Authority at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation for the benefit of investors and pioneers of the maritime sector in the Emirate of Dubai, in a manner that provides a distinguished experience for residents and visitors. Owners of boats and yachts to enhance Dubai’s position as a leading global destination for recreational activities and marine sports.

Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime Authority, stated that the Maritime Authority is proud of its presence among about a thousand participating parties in the Dubai International Boat Show at its 29th session this year, adding that the authority’s participation comes within its endeavors towards organizing the maritime sector in the waters Dubai and providing many facilities to facilitate procedures related to marine activities and recreational water sports in Dubai waters.

During the days of the exhibition, His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, visited the Dubai Maritime Authority platform in the “Luxury Yachts Life” pavilion at the exhibition, where he was briefed on the portfolio of qualitative initiatives that the authority’s platform displays, foremost of which is the innovation of new ways to carry out the mandatory technical examination of the vehicle. Marine through instant self-technical examination (smart inspection) to facilitate procedures for the benefit of customers when licensing or renewing a marine craft license, in addition to providing theoretical training to obtain a marine craft driving license via the Internet.

The Dubai Maritime Authority of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation also signed a strategic partnership agreement with Al Yousuf Motors to facilitate the procedures for providing marine craft registration services to customers. “Al-Youssef” and registered it through them directly through their various outlets, through the authority’s electronic system and within a legal framework governed by the concluded agreement.

Sheikh Saeed stressed the keenness of the Dubai Maritime Authority to strengthen strategic partnership relations with the private sector, in a way that contributes to achieving government directions and facilitates procedures for customers, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. God, on providing the best experience for every customer with the Dubai government; He said: The authority seeks to regulate the licensing of marine craft operating in Dubai by strengthening means of cooperation between all concerned parties and by supporting all the required capabilities and mechanisms.
