ABU DHABI, 30th December, 2020 (WAM) — The Board of Directors of the Dubai Club for People of Determination, at its last meeting for the year 2022 chaired by Thani Jumaa Belrakad yesterday, was briefed on the preparations to host the two World Championships of wheelchair basketball next June, and powerlifting next August, after the successes achieved by the club in organizing the Fazza International Championships in its various versions.
The council discussed future investment projects for commercial buildings and new club facilities, as well as the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation’s project to construct a crafts and crafts building. The board also discussed the plans and goals of the tournament management office that the club organizes each year.
The board reviewed the club’s sides’ results in various fixtures throughout the year 2022, calling for more successes and achievements and consolidating gains. The Board has approved the calendar of monthly meetings for 2023.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Abdul Karim Julfar, Vice President of the Council, and Mona Hammad and Raeesa Al Falasi, both members of the Council.
