DUBAI, 23rd January, 2020 (WAM) — Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) launched the “Awnak” awareness initiative to help contractors and consultants accredited to it obtain the authority’s approval from the first time when submitting requests for electricity, which saves their effort and time and contributes to facilitating and speeding up work.
The initiative includes a series of awareness sessions and detailed and explanatory videos in both Arabic and English to explain all the points, instructions and requirements that must be taken into account when submitting applications, as well as a set of tips and recommendations that will speed up obtaining the authority’s approval.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, said that DEWA provides all the necessary capabilities and smart services that help consultants and contractors carry out their work and conduct their transactions with ease and ease, to enhance Dubai’s competitiveness in the field of facilitating doing business and transforming Dubai into the smartest and happiest city in the world. By providing the tools, requirements and instructions that allow those concerned to work within the best conditions and with the least effort and time possible, which ensures enriching their experience, achieving their happiness and achieving the interest of all parties, as well as facilitating and accelerating the mechanism for obtaining electricity services in accordance with the best international standards and practices. It is noteworthy that the authority allows consultants, contractors and customers to conduct their transactions at any time and from anywhere with ease and safety through the smart application or the authority’s website /www.dewa.gov.ae/ without the need to visit the authority’s customer happiness centers.
