Emirates news agency – Dubai Chamber of Commerce discusses industry challenges with working group of used car showroom owners

DUBAI, October 3 / WAM / The Dubai Chamber of Commerce discussed the challenges with used car showroom owners, the opportunities in the used car market, the challenges and concerns faced by used car showroom owners, and how to join efforts to elaborate innovative solutions to improve the competitiveness of the sector and its ability to meet customer needs efficiently. In addition to discussing opportunities to support the sector and improve its contribution to economic growth, coordinate joint efforts and set priorities for the future period.

This took place during a meeting of the two parties at the Chamber headquarters, in the presence of Mohammed Khalid bin Suleiman, Director of the Department of Business Relations at Dubai Chambers, and Saeed Balrakad Al Ketbi, President of the Showroom Owners Working Group of used cars, accompanied by a number of members of the board of directors of the working group and employees of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

Bin Sulaiman stressed that the meeting highlighted a number of changes taking place in the used car market, the importance of keeping up with the growth in demand for used cars and working to overcome obstacles to serve the interests of the private sector. and increase the competitiveness of the second-hand sector.

According to a study conducted by Frost & Sullivan, 3.5 used cars are purchased in the UAE for every new car sold, with expectations that in 2025 the ratio will reach 2.5 used cars for every new car purchased.
