ABU DHABI, December 2nd / WAM / The Council of Muslim Elders, chaired by His Eminence the Grand Imam, A. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Chairman of the Council, the terrorist attack which it hit a hotel in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, and resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.
The Council of Muslim Elders affirmed its categorical rejection of such terrorist acts which contradict the tolerant teachings of Islam and all divine laws and international laws and norms, calling for the need to coordinate efforts to eliminate this brutal terrorism and eradicate it from its roots.
The Council expressed its sincere condolences to the government and people of Somalia and to the families and families of the victims, praying to Almighty God to rest the victims in His mercy and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
