BEIJING, 28th December, 2020 (WAM) — China’s Civil Aviation Administration today announced its intention to lift some of the restrictions it imposed nearly three years ago on international flights due to the Corona virus, effective January 8th.
China’s Xinhua news agency cited a circular from the Civil Aviation Administration that, from that date, domestic and foreign airlines will operate scheduled passenger flights in accordance with bilateral transportation agreements, with the revocation of restrictions on the number of flights.
He added that the China Aviation Administration would not restrict “high-risk domestic flights”, nor would it limit the number of passengers on those flights to 75%.
He said that China will gradually resume accepting international charter flight applications for domestic and foreign airline passengers, and will fully restore the airport’s operations and requirements.
Before the epidemic in the summer and autumn of 2023, noting that the closed management, nucleic acid testing and quarantine measures for domestic flight crews and airport staff will be lifted with awareness-raising efforts to strengthen guide and supervise the use of masks by passengers.
