SHARJAH, 31st January, 2020 (WAM) — The real estate development company, Arada, has completed the first group of homes in the East Village, the third residential phase of the giant Aljada project, with a total sales value of 24 billion dirhams, in the heart of New Sharjah. The handover of 1,621 residential units will begin within 14 integrated residential complexes.
The total number of units in the East Village is 2,000 homes. This residential phase targets the younger generation and includes 16 residential complexes characterized by their bold and striking designs. Residents of the East Village will benefit from the spacious green spaces that will host many regular events, artworks and various seasonal outlets.
Each residential complex also features spacious public spaces in addition to spaces dedicated to local amenities, including small shops and cafes.
Owner inspection tours will begin soon in 968 homes in Reef Blocks 1-3, Link Blocks 1-3 and Solo Blocks 1-2, which were completed at the end of last year, bringing the total number of completed housing units in Aljada in 2022 to 3,833. Also, 653 units have been completed recently in Solo 3-4, Link 4-5, and Reef 4-5, as it is planned that the owners’ inspection visits to these homes will begin in a short time.
Ahmed Al-Khushaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “East Village will contribute to adding a new level of dynamism and modernity to the master plan of Aljada.”
Al-Khushaibi concluded by saying: The new year marks another milestone in Aljada’s journey to change the urban landscape in the region, with the completion of new phases within the master plan of the project.
He added: Our goal in 2023 is to complete 2,500 new homes on Aljada, in addition to the second phase of the Madar entertainment complex, which in turn includes the largest integrated fitness club in Sharjah. We will also open more shops, restaurants and cafes in many locations along East Boulevard Aljada.
The announcement of the completion of the first batch of homes in the East Village comes after Arada revealed last December that it had completed all 2,473 fully furnished units within the luxury Nest student housing complex on Aljada.
In all, 5,690 homes on Aljada have been completed so far, making up 20% of the masterplan for the entire community, and an additional 3,200 homes are currently under construction on the site, with the remaining two East Village apartment blocks as well as the three Boulevard buildings expected to be completed within the next few weeks.
