Emirates News Agency – Ajman Center for Social Responsibility defines uses of alternative and renewable energy in corporate environment

Ajman, 16th December, WAM / Ajman Center for Social Responsibility at Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry stressed the importance of energy during a seminar organized by entrepreneurs and officials of private sector establishments in the emirate alternative and renewable, its uses and investments, and its important role in supporting business growth, reducing expenses and increasing productivity.

The workshop entitled ‘Alternative and renewable energy in the corporate environment’ is part of the Centre’s effort to organize a series of awareness-raising workshops on the applications and practices of social responsibility in the private sector, in collaboration with expert houses and institutions interested in the activities of social responsibility.

The seminar was attended by Nasser Al Dhafri, CEO of the Ajman Center for Social Responsibility, entrepreneurs and officials from private sector institutions.

Nasser Al-Dhafri stressed the importance of the workshops in educating entrepreneurs on the feasibility of using alternative and renewable energy and its direct impact on increasing productivity and reducing expenses, as well as reviewing available investment opportunities in this vital sector, characterized by a promising future in light of world trends to reduce emissions, sustain resources and preserve the environment from pollution.

He said that the objectives of the Ajman Chamber are to encourage economic institutions to adopt social responsibility, standards and requirements for sustainable development and green economy, as well as to develop small and medium-sized enterprises, upgrading them and developing their businesses to support their pioneering role in supporting a future diversified economy.

He added, “The UAE is a pioneer in diversifying its dependence on energy sources and providing clean and renewable energy generation plants with large capacities to keep pace with the needs of the economy and ensure continued business growth.” and attract investment, which was reflected in the country’s increased clean energy generation and in line with the UAE’s announcement of its strategic initiative to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.”

The workshop addressed the energy types “wind, solar, hydro, hydrogen and other alternative and clean energy” and the difference between energy types, the effects of power quality on the cost and production volume in industry facilities private sector and the promising investment opportunity provided by the alternative and renewable energy sector, especially in the light of the State’s orientation towards increasing the growth of this vital sector, and the effects of energy on the environment and on the conservation of resources, such as many successful examples have been deployed in many of the countries of the world.
