ABU DHABI, November 3 / WAM / The activities of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference “ADIPEC 2022”, the largest and most comprehensive world forum for the energy sector, concluded today, with exceptional levels of participation, such as the event attracted 160,549 energy professionals from more than 160 countries to attend one of the industry’s premier events.
The strategic dialogue sessions that took place during the event helped to shape the contours of climate issues, particularly with the launch of ADIPEC a week before the COP27 Conference, where ADIPEC brought together some of the brightest minds in the global energy sector to discuss important challenges for the sector, highlighting the pillars of energy Safety, sustainability and energy availability for all.
His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, United Arab Emirates Special Envoy for Climate Change and Chief Executive Officer and CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company “ADNOC” and its group of company, said during its opening speech at the ADIPEC 2022 ceremony: “The world needs more energy with less. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources of the Arab Republic of Egypt; and HE Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Oil and Natural Gas and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs of India.
This year’s exhibition hosted more than 28 international pavilions, which have helped to strengthen international cooperation efforts, as ADIPEC 2022 witnessed the signing of a historic new agreement between the UAE and the United States; His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, United Arab Emirates Special Envoy for Climate Change and General Manager and CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company “ADNOC” and its group of company, and Amos Hochstein, Special Coordinator President for the United States of America, has signed a cooperation agreement aimed at accelerating the pace of energy adoption Clean Energy, which provides for the investment of 100 billion dollars in energy projects clean in both countries and around the world with a focus on developing countries by 2035.
