ABU DHABI, 28th December, 2020 (WAM) — Abu Dhabi Police has approved a security plan to secure New Year’s Eve celebrations for the New Year 2023 in all regions of Abu Dhabi Emirate, in cooperation with strategic partners, for ensure smooth traffic and reduce traffic congestion.

Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Director of Central Operations Sector, said Abu Dhabi Police had prepared a joint security plan to protect tourist areas, shopping malls and traffic during New Year celebrations , taking into account all precautionary measures to ensure the safety and security of the public.

For its part, the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols of the Central Operations Sector has confirmed its willingness to improve traffic safety by adopting the necessary precautions and measures, and has invited road users to pay attention and respect the rules of the road and speed limits, not to be distracted by the phone while driving and to leave a sufficient safety distance between vehicles.
