ABU DHABI, 11th December, 2020 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Arabia Saudi.
During the meeting, which was held in Abu Dhabi, the consolidated fraternal and historical relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were discussed, the paths of joint cooperation and ways to strengthen it in all fields at the light of the illustrious strategic partnership between the two countries.
They also discussed a number of issues of concern to the two countries and dossiers relating to joint Arab-Gulf cooperation.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, stressing the depth and specificity of brotherly relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the leaderships and the peoples of the two brother countries.
His Highness added that the UAE and Saudi Arabia are bound by a strong and sustainable strategic partnership which is constantly being strengthened in order to achieve their common interests, benefit their peoples and support security and stability in the region and in the world.
His Highness congratulated His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on the successful 43rd Session of the GCC Leaders’ Summit, which helps strengthen the Gulf Joint Action Process, as well as the “Riyadh-Gulf-China Summit for Cooperation and Development” and the “Arab-Chinese Summit”, lauding their achievements and their role in consolidating fruitful relations between the friendly People’s Republic of China and the countries of the region and promoting paths of sustainable economic development, which will be positively reflected on the region and enhance its security, stability and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen, Minister of State.
