ABU DHABI, 23rd February / WAM / The fourth day of the “IDEX and NAVDEX 2023” exhibitions, which are held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, “may God protect him”, witnessed the announcement of the Tawazun Council, the government agency that operates closely with the Ministry of Defense, security services and Abu Dhabi Police; To enhance the purchasing value through innovative systems for managing acquisitions and balancing operations, it announced the signing of 10 deals for the Ministry of Defense, worth 2.7 billion dirhams, distributed over 6 local and 4 international deals.
Thus, the value of the deals concluded for the “IDEX and NAVDEX 2023” exhibitions increased in four days since their inception to 21.14 billion dirhams, with 44 deals for the Ministry of Defense and Abu Dhabi Police.
This came during a press conference held in the presence of Majid Ahmed Al-Jabri, Zayed Saeed Al-Muraikhi, official spokespersons for Tawazun Council, and Saeed Al-Mansoori, CEO of Capital Events, a subsidiary of ADNEC Group.
Zayed Al Muraikhi said that the total local deals for the fourth day of the “IDEX and NAVDEX 2023” exhibitions for the benefit of the Ministry of Defense amounted to 6 deals worth 1.2 billion dirhams. TAMALEX INTERNATONAL to provide technical support, repair and supply of spare parts for machinery with a value of 53 million dirhams, a contract with International Golden Group to purchase a thermal camera and a thermoscope with a value of 65 million dirhams, and a contract with International Golden Group to provide technical support services for the SAP system with a value of 21 million dirhams, A contract with the International Golden Group Company to provide technical support and logistical services for ship communication systems at a value of 24 million dirhams, and a contract with the Chinese company Norinco through the International Golden Group Company to purchase AR3 launchers and missiles, while providing technical support services in the country at a value of 902 million dirhams. .
For his part, Majed Al-Jabri indicated that the total international deals concluded for the Ministry of Defense for the fourth day of the “IDEX and NAVDEX 2023” exhibitions amounted to 4 deals worth 1.5 billion dirhams, including a contract with the French company MBDA to buy mica missiles at a value of 1.26 billion dirhams, and a contract with the Italian company LEONARDO. To purchase spare parts for command and control systems at a value of 36 million dirhams, and to contract with the American company HARRIS INTERNATIONAL to provide technical support and training services on command and control systems at a value of 79 million dirhams, and to contract with the American company KAMAN PRECISION PRODUCTS to purchase ammunition supplements at a value of 165 million dirhams.
Saeed Al-Mansoori said that the fourth day of the two exhibitions witnessed the conclusion of the activities of the “IDEX Talks”, which witnessed the participation of major decision-makers and experts in the world, where they discussed over three days ways to advance the reality and future of the defense industries sector, adding that the IDEX NextGEN Award will be announced. For innovation on the final day, more than 34 companies from 25 countries around the world competed for it.
