DUBAI, January 31, 2020 / WAM / Real estate transactions in the Dubai Land Department today amounted to more than 2.1 billion dirhams, as the department witnessed the registration of 471 pledges of allegiance, at a value of 1.87 billion dirhams, including 20 pledges of allegiance to lands, at a value of 316.57 million dirhams, and 451 pledges of allegiance to apartments and villas, at a value of 1.56 billion dirhams.
The most important land sales came with a value of 148 million dirhams in the Al Wasl region, followed by a pledge of 24 million dirhams in the fifth industrial area of Al Qusais, followed by a pledge of 23 million dirhams in the first Jebel Ali area.
The Al Jaddaf region topped the regions in terms of the number of sales, as it recorded 3 sales at a value of 28 million dirhams, followed by the first Jebel Ali region, with 2 sales at a value of 26 million dirhams, and a third in Al Habiya, the fourth, with two sales at a value of 9 million dirhams.
With regard to the most important sales of apartments and villas, a sale amounted to 220 million dirhams in the Business Bay area, as the most important sale, followed by a sale worth 67 million dirhams in the Island 2 area, and finally a sale worth 62 million dirhams in the Al Wasl area.
The Business Bay region topped the regions in terms of the number of sales of apartments and villas, as it recorded 69 pledges of allegiance, at a value of 334 million dirhams, followed by the first area of Khairan, with 32 pledges of 87 million dirhams, and a third in Al Barsha, south of the fourth, with 31 pledges of 25 million dirhams.
The mortgages recorded a value of 122.36 million dirhams, of which 23 land mortgages amounted to 53.56 million dirhams and 47 mortgages for villas and apartments amounted to 68.8 million dirhams.
As for the donations, 14 donations were registered, with a value of 130.13 million dirhams, the most important of which was in the first area of Al-Habibiyah, with a value of 92 million dirhams, and another in the Al-Barsha area, south of the fourth, with a value of 13 million dirhams.
