ABU DHABI, 1st September / WAM / The Emirates Heritage Club is participating in the activities of the twentieth session of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, which will start tomorrow under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, President of the Emirates Falconers Club, and will continue until September 8th. At the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center «ADNEC».
The participation comes within the framework of the club’s efforts to link the UAE’s heritage with its present and future in order to achieve the goals of sustainability.
The pavilion includes a marine heritage corner that presents live workshops to introduce sea heritage, especially sea and diving equipment, in addition to a marine industries corner dedicated to introducing some professions such as making gargoyles and traditional bearings.
It also includes a corner for craftswomen, which offers educational workshops for traditional handicrafts such as talli, al-Sadu and burqa-making, while the “crafts corner” displays how to make pottery and make swords and daggers.
In the cultural aspect accompanying the activities of the exhibition, the “Publications Corner” displays a group of publications of the Emirates Heritage Club, focusing on those related to hunting and equestrian, while the “cultural platform” of the pavilion presents a group of lectures dealing with topics related to hunting, equestrian and bizarre in the Emirati and Arab heritage.
The club participates in the workshops that are held on the “sustainability platform” throughout the days of the exhibition, where researchers will discuss topics consistent with the nature of the event, such as the history of pearls in the Emirates, the role of horses and their importance in the history of the country, the history of falconry in the Emirates, and how to preserve heritage and traditions. in the state.
Among the activities offered by the club’s wing is an entertainment corner for children under the name of Al Marsam Al Hur, to introduce them to the various heritage elements through drawing and coloring, in addition to a popular cafe that offers varieties of Emirati cuisine to visitors.
The pavilion also offers daily traditional competitions inside it and on social media platforms, and on the show platform on the second, fifth and eighth of September.
