Al Ain, October 21 / WAM / The Emirates Cancer Society launched an annual service entitled “Your Safety”, to transport patients to treatment places in hospitals during chemotherapy sessions, examinations, laboratory tests and x-rays, wait for them, and then return them to their homes.
The service includes cancer patients registered with the association in all emirates of the country, especially those with limited income in the Northern Emirates who receive treatment at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain or other treatment centers.
His Excellency Dr. Salem Mohammed bin Rakad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, said that this service aims to provide psychological, material and medical support and comprehensive care for cancer patients and their families, especially the needy group.
He pointed out that the transportation process annually targets about 100 cases of cancer patients who need a means of transportation to help them follow up on periodic appointments during the treatment stages.
