Emirates Airlines and Kenya Airways Sign Interline Agreement for Increased Travel Options

Emirates Airlines and Kenya Airways announced the conclusion of an “Interline” agreement, which allows passengers of the two carriers to reach new destinations on their two flights using one ticket and one baggage policy.

The agreement provides travelers with wider travel options, and the ease of checking in their luggage to reach their final destinations, as Emirates Airlines customers can now travel to 28 destinations on the Kenya Airways network via Nairobi.

In addition, as part of a bilateral arrangement between the two carriers, Emirates Airlines passengers traveling via Dubai can book one ticket to and from Mombasa. Likewise, Kenya Airways passengers traveling from Nairobi and Mombasa will now be able to travel through the Emirates network and connect seamlessly via Dubai to 23 destinations in West and South Asia, the Middle East, Far East countries and Indian Ocean basin Asian destinations.

Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airlines, said: “We are pleased to sign the first partnership with the Kenyan national carrier, as Kenya is a strategic gateway in our African network. The new (Interline) agreement facilitates the arrival of (Emirates Airlines) customers to their travel destinations, and provides them with wider options for travel across the continent, and we look forward to strengthening our relationship with Kenya Airways, and providing more facilities for our passengers.

In addition, the Emirates Group won five major awards at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Awards, a British organization focused on promoting and facilitating occupational health and safety.

The group stated that at the ceremony, transportation services in the Emirates Group were honored with the Golden Award for Health and Safety Performance, the Golden Award for Recreational Safety, the Year Award for Best Safety Influencer for a member of the Emirates Team, the High Commendation Award for the Health and Safety Initiative, and the Trophy Award for Best Safety for the Transport Fleet. In the Middle East.

Emirates Airlines confirmed that it is the only carrier in the world to win the Gold Award for Health and Safety Performance in Transport, and it has also won the award in the past four years.

Emirates Airlines in the country operates a fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles to transport passengers, crew and pilots, in addition to other employees to and from the workplace, with an average of 2.5 million road trips annually.
