Emily Deschanel talked about the revival of the Bone Collector series. The actress is unrecognizable today, maturing like wine

Bones star Emily Deschanel has revealed whether she would return to Fox’s renewed series, admitting that she would “she never said never“.

Emily Deschanel starred in the Bone Collector series for 12 seasons and 246 episodes alongside her co-star David Boreanaz. Since the series ended, Boreanaz has started hosting the series The SEAL team from CBS a Paramount+while Deschanel currently stars in an upcoming suspense thriller Devil in Ohiowhich premiered September 2 on Netflix.

David Boreanaz he also starred in several films, such as the 2007 horror-comedy Ghost of the Writer, dubbed in the animated sci-fi film Justice League: The New Frontier. He next starred in the 2001 horror comedy Valentine.

Emily Deschanel she also has several films behind her, such as the 2005 horror film Boogeyman, appeared in the 2006 sports drama Victory Road, and starred in the war drama Return to Cold Mountain.

The Bone Collectors series follows the story of Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Deschanel), a brilliant but cold anthropologist who solves murders in collaboration with her partner Seeley Booth (Boreanaz). The series followed the typical format of crime procedurals, where murders are solved in one episode and the seasons contain only rare follow-up elements.

The romantic relationship between Brennan and Booth was also a big part of the success of the Bone Collector series. Due to the show’s success, there have been rumors of a renewal since it ended in 2017, but the cast and crew have since moved on to other projects and nothing has been officially announced.

In an interview for TVLine Deschanel opened up about possible ways she could return to her most famous role. Although the Bone Collector series may never be renewedthe actress is not closing her doors just yet.

You know, I guess it’s always possible. David Boreanaz said no that he wouldn’t do it, but for me, never say never. I don’t know, it’s possible, I’d be open, I don’t knowDeschanel said.

A Bone Collector revival would only work if both Deschanel and Boreanaz returned, as their mismatched energy and contrasting personalities formed the show’s heart and humor. Although Deschanel remains open to the possibility, her quote suggests the idea isn’t a priority for her right now, likely because Bone Collector ended only six years ago, which isn’t enough time to build enough nostalgic hype around a revival. With both Deschanel and Boreanaz filming new series, neither of them would have time to renew The Bone Collectors right now.

In an industry so obsessed with reboots and new sequels, it’s hard to judge how good an idea this is, given that so many series resurrections have failed to catch the nostalgia wave. For example, another popular crime series, Thoughts of a criminal, is currently undergoing its own much-anticipated revival. Bone Collector has more episodes than most shows could ever dream of, and sometimes it’s good to say enough is enough. Viewers can currently watch this series on the Prima Krimi channel.
