Furthermore, Șercan argues, the minister’s scientific work, published as a book, does not exist in the catalogs of the central university libraries (BCU) of the Babeș-Bolyai University, nor in the National Library.
“I recently asked the National Library if the publishing house where the book appeared had sent him, as required by the law on libraries, 7 copies. Since I know better than Dr. Bode how things stand with his doctoral thesis, let me tell you.
- As required by Romanian law, after the public defense, a copy of a doctoral thesis is sent to the National Library and to the library of the university or faculty where the work was defended.
- The thesis of dr. Bode is at the National Library, but it cannot be consulted on paper, only in digital format, because since 2016 the consultation of theses on paper is prohibited.
- Dr. Bode’s thesis is digitized because I requested it and can be viewed on a computer without Internet access. Screenshots of the precious scientific creation are prohibited.
- The National Register of Doctoral Theses has been operational since 2020, where all doctoral theses discussed after 2016 are accessible, with the exception of those for which the authors have requested publication in book form within two years of public defense.
