Han Solo is one of the most famous and beloved Star Wars characters, but that doesn’t mean every project he pops up in is a guaranteed success. For example, just think Solo: A Star Wars Movie. This film was met with mixed reception. Emilia Clarke thinks he knows how this happened.
The actress plays Qi’Ra in Ron Howard‘s film, but despite the necessary big names and buzz around the project, it didn’t really turn out much. Clarke believes this is largely due to the resignation of the original director duo, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Probleemproject
Thus says Clarke: ”Solo was therefore seen as a problem project. One couldn’t separate all the gossip from the movie and that didn’t help…”
However, the film has gained in popularity since it was shown on Disney+. The actress is very happy with this: ”I’m very happy to hear that because I loved my character, but also Han Solo, the story and all the people I worked with. It was a very nice experience and I am very happy that people can still enjoy it!”
Any return?
Clarke was also asked if she will return if Qi’Ra is the planned series around Lando, who is still in Solo Donald Glover was interpreted.
”Anyway, I haven’t been contacted about it yet. Anyway, a Lando series seems like a really cool idea! I say go for it!”
