Emi Martinez mocks Mbappe at Argentina champions parade

Jakarta

Argentina celebrates its success in World Cup 2022 with a parade atop an open-top bus. Emiliano Martinez it seems mocking Kylian Mbappe.

The Argentinian players arrived in their hometown on Tuesday (20/12) after successfully winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Lionel Messi and others then paraded through the streets of Buenos Aires.

‘Kylian Mbappe’ was spotted in the parade of the Argentine champions. Emi Martinez was caught on camera carrying a doll with the image of the French forward’s face on it.

It’s not the first time Martinez has made fun of Mbappé at celebrations in Argentina. In a video circulating on social media, Martinez can be heard saying “a minute’s silence” for Mbappe as the Argentine team celebrates in the locker room after the final.

Earlier, Martinez also teased Mbappe ahead of the 2022 World Cup final. The Aston Villa goalkeeper responded to Mbappe’s comments that ‘South American football hasn’t advanced like it has in Europe’.

“He doesn’t know enough about football,” Emi Martinez said in response to Mbappe’s comments.

“He’s never played in South America. When you don’t have that experience, it’s best not to talk about it.”

“But it doesn’t matter. We are a great team, recognized like this,” said Emi Martinez.
