VLISSINGEN – Several emergency services were called on Wednesday for an industrial accident on board a ship in Vlissingen. It is not yet known what exactly happened.
The incident happened around 5.40 pm at the Amels shipyard. A work accident had occurred on board a yacht, according to a police spokesman.
The fire brigade, police and ambulance service came to the scene to provide assistance. Two ambulances and the fire brigade were able to leave shortly after the report. The police stayed longer at the shipyard. It is not known what exactly happened on board the yacht. The Forensic Investigation Department is now also present to conduct an investigation.
