Operation PEmergency PKM in Bulak Banteng, Kenjeran, Surabaya, there was chaos last night. The police said the riot was due to a provocation after 13 residents were arrested when they were caught in a judicial operation.

The Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police explained that the 13 residents were caught in surgery because they did not wear masks. After that, the police will also take action against coffee shops found violating opening hours.

“Yes, the plan is to secure a trial on the spot. But they were provoked and fought the officers,” said Gatot to detikcom, Monday (11/7/2021).

When going to take action against the shop, continued Gatot, the shop owner turned out to be against it and there was a debate and quarrel with the officers. Because of this, the crowd began to gather and started throwing stones at the officers.

“Owner warkop do not accept because the shop will be prosecuted. So they bickered and invited other residents to come out and gather. Because more and more they threw stones at officers and patrol cars,” said Gatot.

According to Gatot, no officers were injured during the attack on the residents. However, a patrol car belonging to the Kenjeran Police was damaged on the rear glass because it was thrown by residents.

“There were no casualties from the officers. But there was damage to 1 unit of the patrol car, the rear glass was broken,” said Gatot.

Previously, surgery Emergency PPKM in Bulak Banteng, Kenjeran, Surabaya, there was chaos last night. The riots occurred because a number of residents and shop owners refused to be disciplined.
