TRIBUNNEWS.COM – The government officially extends Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) Emergency.
The Emergency PPKM will be extended until Sunday, July 25, 2021, which will then be opened in stages starting on July 26, 2021, if the downward trend in coronavirus cases continues.
This decision was conveyed directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in a press statement broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube, Tuesday (20/7/2021) night.
Regarding assistance for communities affected by Emergency PPKM, Jokowi allocated an additional social protection budget of Rp 55.21 trillion.

This addition will be channeled through several programs, namely cash social assistance (BST), basic food assistance, internet quota assistance, and electricity subsidies.
The government also provides incentives for informal micro-enterprises in the amount of IDR 1.2 million for around 1 million Micro-enterprises.
“I have ordered the relevant ministers to immediately distribute the social assistance to eligible citizens,” he said Jokowi.
